After much research, I have compiled a list of the top 10 advertising agencies in the world. Leading the pack is Ogilvy & Mather, an advertising, marketing and public relations agency based in New York City.
Founded in 1850 by Edmund Mather, it was later renamed Ogilvy & Mather after merging with a New York City agency founded in 1948 by David Ogilvy. With a presence in India since 1928, this agency operates offices in major cities around the world. Next up is Mullen, founded in 1970 by Jim Mullen in Boston. He has earned the title of “most influential customer of the century” due to his early adaptation to social networks.

It recently took full control of BBH and acquired a long list of digital specialists, including Digitas, Razorfish and Sapient. This company is currently the largest advertising agency and fifth largest agency network in terms of global reach. Fifth on this list is Havas Worldwide, which works with 78 out of every 100 of the world's most important advertisers. It works on all platforms, including broadcast, print, digital, social, experiential and external platforms. It has been ranked as one of the top 10 agencies in the world. Sixth is BBDO, with 289 offices in 81 different countries and more than 15,000 employees.
This company has a presence in 18 Latin American countries. Seventh on this list is Young & Rubicam, which has its roots in Philadelphia. Founded by John Orr Young, it is now known as one of the most iconic advertising agencies in the world. It specializes in advertising, media and digital media. Eighth on this list is Dentsu Aegis Network, a multinational digital marketing and media company operating out of London (England). It is wholly owned by Japanese media agency Dentsu. Ninth on this list is BETC, formerly Euro RSCG Paris.
This company has established an independent identity under its own name. Finally, tenth on this list is JWT, also known as J Walter Thompson Company. This company has faced some marketing challenges during its transition period but has since recovered to become one of the “big five” advertising agencies.
